Philadelphia Fever
The Philadelphia Fever were part of the start-up indoor soccer league, Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL), in 1978 playing at the Spectrum. In their second season, they turned a mediocre regular season into a memorable year when they unexpectedly made it all the way to the 1979 championship, falling to the New York Arrows. The Fever would continue on for a few more seasons, but struggled with attendance and other winter competition in the city and folded in 1982.
