Indy Daredevils
Originally known as the Rhode Island Oceaneers, the Indy Daredevils moved to Indiana for the 1978 ASL season. In 1978, the Indy Daredevils played at the Butler Bowl and posted a 8-13-3 record landing them in third place and attracting about 4,000 fans per game. They would make the playoffs that season, but get knocked out in the first round by the New Jersey Americans. Their second season in 1979 was a mess from the start, as the team ran out of money very early on and went through multiple coaches. Unfortunately, that would lead to another 8-win season and their demise at the end of the season. The ASL itself would only last a few more years, until 1984.
