Louisville Thunder
The Louisville Thunder soccer team played in the American Indoor Soccer Association from 1984 - 1987 at Broadbent Arena. During their three seasons, the Louisville Thunder made the finals all three time and each time would face their arch nemesis, the Canton Invaders. The Invaders would win the first two in 1985 and 1986, but the Thunder would finally defeat the Invaders in the 1987 AISA championship series. Even with their strong track record, the Thunder’s weren’t particularly successful at the box office and would fold after their 1987 championship win.
