Oakland Clippers
The Oakland Clippers started play in 1967 in the NPSL at Oakland County Coliseum. They would be one of the best teams in the league, recording 19 wins in 32 games and undefeated at home. They would go on to win the league title in 1967, defeating the Baltimore Bays. The Clippers would play one more season in the NASL in 1968 following the merger with the NPSL, but would miss the playoffs. Both the NASL and the Clippers would fold following the 1968 season.
