Columbus Capitals
The Columbus Capitals were a short-lived team playing from 1984 - 1986 as part of the American Indoor Soccer Association. They played their first season at the Ohio Center and then like many minor league Columbus teams, they played at the Fairgrounds Coliseum for their second season. And, like many other teams that played at the Fairgrounds over the years, they ran into conflicts and issues trying to secure home dates. After two seasons with low attendance and the owner's inability to find a reliable home for the Columbus Capitals, the team folded.
