Detroit Lightning

The Detroit Lightning were another one year wonder that played in the Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) for just one season in 1979 - 1980 at Cobo Arena (now TCF Center). Finishing 3rd place in the Central Division and taking the 6th spot in the final playoffs, the Lightning lost the semi-finals to the Wichita Wings. After the season, they were sold and moves to San Francisco where they became the San Francisco Fog.
