Houston Stars
Owned by Judge Roy Hofheinz - who owned the Astros and drove the construction of the Astrodome - the Houston Stars played for one short year in the brand new dome 1967 before folding in 1968.
Although they played relatively well in the North American Soccer League (NASL), it was not enough to get them to the playoffs. The team sadly folded after that season but indoor soccer returned to Houston and the Astrodome ten years later in the form of the Houston Hurricane.
