Chicago Horizons
The Chicago Horizons were a one year wonder who played in the Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) for the 1980 - 1981 season. The team played in Rosemont, IL at Rosemont Horizon Arena, now known as Allstate Arena. The Horizons main problem was that there was already a popular soccer team in town called the Chicago Sting.
The team was a bust at the box office, most nights drawing less than 2,000 people each game. They weren’t great on the field either, as they finished 20-20 in the 40-game season. The team would fold after the season.
